Vacation Requests:

We encourage all village residents to notify the Police Department if they plan to travel out of town by filling out a vacation request. Vacation requests allow our officers to be even more watchful of residential properties while residents are away and affords us with a method of timely contact should there be a need. We sincerely appreciate all advance notices of resident absences.

Our vacation request form can be found online at https://villageofmaplebluff.com/home/departments/police-department/vacation-watch/.

Overnight Parking Requests:

Village ordinances prohibit the parking of vehicles for more than 30 minutes between the hours of 1am and 6am, and vehicles parked on the street during these hours are subject to citation.

Recognizing that conditions arise which require residents and their guests to periodically use on-street parking, the Village of Maple Bluff offers an online submission option for individuals who need to park on the street overnight at no charge – overnight parking requests can be found online at https://villageofmaplebluff.com/home/departments/police-department/overnight-parking/.

Overnight parking requests can’t exceed seven consecutive nights and are subject to denial of approval would conflict with village operations or events. Overnight parking requests that are not submitted at least one working day prior may not be honored, as staff require advance notice to coordinate and process each request.

Overnight parking requests for more than seven nights require a Street Obstruction Permit to be issued. See below for information about Street Obstruction Permit Applications.

Street Obstruction Permit Applications:

Village ordinances prohibit the encroachment or obstruction of any street, alley, sidewalk, public grounds, or land dedicated to public use.

Understanding that reasonable circumstances arise which may require the obstruction of public space, the Village of Maple Bluff offers a submission option for individuals who would like to request temporary obstruction for a fee of $25.00. Street obstruction permit applications can be found online at https://villageofmaplebluff.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Permit-Application-to-Obstruct-Street.pdf.

Upon approval, payments can be made in-person at the Village Center or at https://www.govpaynow.com/gps/user/plc/7097.

Protracted street obstructions are strongly discouraged and may not be approved without sufficient justification. Street obstruction applications are subject to denial if approval would conflict with village operations or events. Street obstruction permit applications that are not submitted at least three working days prior may not be honored, as staff require advance notice to coordinate and process each request.

Temporary Accessory Vehicle Parking and Equipment Storage Permit Applications:

Village ordinances prohibit the parking or storage of accessory vehicles or equipment in the front yard or driveway of any residential lot for more than 10 days per calendar year. Ordinances also prohibit the placement or storage of dumpsters for more than 30 days per calendar year in the same areas of residential lots.

Understanding that reasonable circumstances arise which may require the placement of such vehicles and equipment, the Village of Maple Bluff offers a submission option for individuals who would like to request storage beyond the 10-day or 30-day period for a fee of $25.00. Residential parking and storage permit applications can be found online at https://villageofmaplebluff.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/Temporary-Accessory-Vehicle-Parking-Equipment-Storage.pdf

Upon approval, payments can be made in-person at the Village Center or at https://www.govpaynow.com/gps/user/plc/7097.

Please be aware that residential parking and storage applications are subject to denial and/or revocation. Residential parking and storage permit applications that are not submitted at least three working days prior may not be honored, as staff require advance notice to coordinate and process each request.
